I was looking at our wedding pictures last night and it occured to me after looking at a series of pictures like this one, that there are seven people who are no longer here. While that is a sad and disheartening, I found a little comfort knowing that there was one day, we were all together. All in one room.
On Saturday morning, Matt's family, friends and those who love him all gathered to celebrate what would have been his 30th birthday. We sent balloons up with messages of love, memories and life written across and held in our hands. We lifted them up and watched them float away silently.
Happy Birthday, Matt. You are greatly missed in our lives.
